angela's character was created for the spawn comics by todd mcfarlane. both he and neil gaiman created her character. she was in 29 issues until her death in spawn #100. mcfarlane and gaiman fought for the rights of angela's character, which gaiman won, and later sold her to marvel comics.angela odinsdottir, born aldrif odinsdottir, was the first born of odin and freyja. heven caused a war with asgard, and the queen of angels kidnapped aldrif for blackmail. when odin refused, she attempted to kill aldrif before taking her to heven. odin decided to cut heven from the other nine realms.the queen of angels ordered loriel, the queen's handmaiden, to dispose of aldrif's body. aldrif was discovered alive, and loriel raised her as her own with the name angela.angela was known as the wingless angel. sometime in angela's adulthood, loriel went missing and never came back.
angela became the leader of the hunt and lived in her own manor.
during the events of age of ultron (2013), angela was pulled from heven into the realm of midgard due to a rupture in time and space. angela was angry and decided to take revenge on whoever had brought her there. this is when she bumped into the guardians of the galaxy, and thus her story in marvel comics begins.
